Our clients based in south Sheffield are seeking a Sous Chef who can join their brigade and work along side the Head Chef providing valuable support.

Classic pub dishes with a twist and award winning pies are all on the menu. This role would suit an experienced Sous looking to support the kitchen and take leadership in the absence of Head Chef. You must be dedicated and passionate about your career, as well as confident in your abilities to lead and teach Junior chefs. You will lead the kitchen under the Head Chef.

As Sous Chef your main duties will include:

  • Aiding the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen
  • Ordering of food
  • Carrying out stock checks
  • Ensuring the correct standards are in place
  • Training of the junior chefs
  • Up keeping the high standards

Qualifications/Experience required for this Chef de Partie opportunity are:

  • Previous experience in a establishment that was accredited with Rosettes would be advantageous
  • Must have NVQ level 1 & 2 or equivalent
  • Show a full understanding of food safety and hygiene
  • Applicants must be well presented and have strong leadership and communication skills
