This boutique hotel caters for high end dining guests, a more relaxed informal area, weddings and glamorous private functions throughout the year using fresh, seasonal, local ingredients. The hotels stylish rooms are all individually designed with luxury and comfort in mind.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Commis Chef and be part of a gardworking talented team. They are looking for a passionate, ambitious Commis Chef to provide a fun and stylish service with a good attitude, and all applicants should display drive and determination to succeed.
Working alongside experienced and award winning senior chefs, you will be expected to work on different sections of the kitchen and show a willingness to learn new skills and techniques. Further on-going training will be given to develop the successful Commis Chefs skills.
As Commis Chef you will:
Assist the snr team with food preparation
Prepare dishes utilising the best seasonal ingredients
Be involved in the development of menus
Manage and maintain a safe working environment
Manage cleanliness of your section
Be involved in stock control and orders
Required for this Commis Chef:
Ideally NVQ levels 1&2
Experience working in a AA Rosette establishment
Hotel or Restaurant background
Good knowledge of cooking techniques and styles

This is a permanent position.
All applicants will have a stable CV with excellent traceable references. The person to suit must be experienced in fresh produce to at least 1 Rosette level, must have at least 18 months full time employment as a Chef with the same employer. Should also posses NVQ level 1 and 2 or equivalent, and hygiene certificate.
