HEAD CHEF - MULTI ACCOLADE - £60,000

A unique opportunity has arisen for a talented and experiencedHead Chefto be part of developing a contemporary kitchen with the aim of achieving3 AA rosettesand more!!

We are seeking a Head Chef that is creative, composed, committed and very well organised to join and lead their team. As a Head Chef, you will need to have creative flair and get a real kick out of a busy service, providing exceptional food for our customers whilst being busy and under pressure.

The site is a beautiful heritage building set in the Suffolk/Essex countryside with 10 luxury letting rooms and 60 cover Restaurant with the facility for 30 diners in the landscaped garden.

Are you an experienced Sous Chef or Head Chef who is just ready for a change? Are you passionate about creating excellent food, using quality, fresh ingredients?

You must have:

Proven working experience as a Sous/Head Chef in a 3AA kitchen
Shown stability throughout your employment
Strong attention to detail with the passion and ambition to achieve

Ability to listen, communicate and lead a team effectively

Good level of business acumen

Job Duties:

Overseeing food ordering and food preparation
Delivery of operations and managing the brigade of 8 chefs
Stock control
Ensuring you and your team are adhering to all food hygiene & safety standards at all times
Dedicating time to develop your team
Working closely with the Front of House Manager & General Manager
Manage planning and staff rotas
Financial management of the kitchen: minimising wastage, ensuring cost effective buying, regular stock takes.
Menu development: sourcing and ordering local produce, keeping menus attractive to existing customer base and keeping up with current food trends

This is a permanent position.

All applicants will have a stable CV with excellent traceable references. The person to suit must be experienced in fresh produce to at least 2 Rosette level, must have at least 18 months full time employment as a Chef with the same employer. Should also possess NVQ level 1&2 or equivalent, and hygiene certificate.

You must either be working in or a resident in the United Kingdom to apply for this position . You must be able to prove your eligibility to work in the United Kingdom to apply for this role, you must be a UK/EU Citizen and have ILR/PR status or hold a work permit /visa with at least 2 years remaining .
