We are seeking a Head Chef that is creative, composed, committed and very well organised to work in this great new venture located in the North of Sheffield catering for Wedding, Events and Party Nights.

You must have:

  • Proven working experience as a Sous/Head Chef - 2 years (Required)
  • Experince in banqueting and event catering
  • Be organised to work to deadlines with a small team
  • Fully knowledgeable of kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to listen, communicate and lead
  • NVQ Level 1/2/3 Professional Cookery/Patisserie or equivalent

Job Duties:

  • Overseeing food ordering and food preparation
  • Delivery of operations and managing the kitchen
  • Stock control
  • Ensuring you and your team are adhering to all food hygiene & safety standards at all times
  • Working closely with the Front of House Manager & General Manager
  • Financial management of the kitchen: minimising wastage, ensuring cost effective buying, regular stock takes.
  • Menu development: sourcing and ordering local produce, keeping menus attractive to existing customer base and keeping up with current food trends

Salary: £18.00 per hour

Hours: 35 hours minimum over Thursday / Friday / Saturday /Sunday - any additional hours worked paid at £18.00 per hour

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
